1. The Icon
The George is an institution. With nearly 40 years of history, it is part of Dublin's colourful history.
Head there for drinks in the laid-back bar (velvet barstools, obvs) or laughs and dancing in the raucous club with wonderful live acts.
2. The Roots, Rock, Reggay
Street 66 is a hidden gem, a pub/bar with plenty of room to dance, tucked away from the noisy streets.
The vibe is rainbow-flavoured local, with a discerning programme of DJs and live-acts playing roots reggae and funk music.
The crowd is international and you'll feel instantly at home.
3. The Glamazon
Want to dance till dawn in a cosmopolitan, sparkly, classy joint?
Head to Pantibar where you might rub shoulders with celebrities or your next ex-husband.
There's also a range of fabulous shows if you'd rather be entertained.
4. The Monthly Happening
Euphoria is a club night founded in Dublin in 2014 that is still going strong, with monthly parties in venues across the city.
Plan in advance if you're coming to town as the parties are special occasions. The music is serious, there are often themes, and mischief to be had.
5. The Mother
Mother is ageless disco and live music experiences for LGBTQ and friends every Saturday night!
The bar is set quite high for street parties and live acts - think Mykki Blanco, Grace Jones and Roisin Murphy!
Their annual Pride street party is not to be missed.
