What time is check in and check out?
Check in from 3:00pm. We can offer early check in from 12:00pm* for an additional charge of £15.
Check out by 11:00am. We can offer late check out by 2:00pm* for an additional £15. Please contact the front desk to inquire, the earlier we are aware of your request, the easier it is for us to accommodate!

Do you offer express check out?
Yes, we do! On your departure day, you’ll get an email to express check out—it’s quick and takes less than 30 seconds.
Once you check out, our team will prepare the room for the next guest, so make sure you're ready to leave before completing it. Your VAT invoice will be emailed to you soon after.
Luggage Storage
Luggage storage is available for free, before or after check in.
Please note that bags cannot be left overnight, and will be removed if not collected.
How do I enter the hotel at night
Night time access is secured, so please use your room key to enter between 11:00pm & 6:00am.
How do I change the temperature & lighting?

Please note, any changes made to A/C or temperature can take up to 20 minutes to feel the effect. If you require any further assistance please ask the front desk team who will be happy to help.
Hairdryer, hangers & safe
The hairdryer can be found by pressing the pop-out door on your desk.
The safe is located by the bed, or under one of the bedside tables.
Hangers should be in your room hanging on the wall, if not, please ask a host at reception.
Do you have an iron?
The ironing rooms are located on the 2nd and 3rd floor. Just follow the signs!
When are rooms cleaned?
Your room gets a full spruce-up after three nights — fresh sheets, clean towels, bins emptied.

On weekends and bank holidays 07:00am to 11:00am.

Haymarket Station: Just around the corner from the hotel, Haymarket Station connects you to Edinburgh Waverley, the airport, and other parts of Scotland. During Fringe season, it’s a convenient arrival point and transport hub for reaching venues across the city.

The “Big Four” Fringe Venues: Some of the festival’s biggest shows happen at Assembly, Gilded Balloon, Pleasance, and Underbelly. They're all within walking distance from us. Book shows in advance - popular performances sell out quickly.

Bedlam Theatre: Student-run and always buzzing during Fringe, Bedlam hosts an intense programme of plays and improv. Around a 15-minute walk from the hotel.

Summerhall: This arts complex turns into a hub for immersive and experimental performances during Fringe. Reachable in about 20 minutes on foot or 10 by bus.

Royal Mile: The heart of the Old Town and the Fringe’s street performance scene. Lined with historic buildings, pubs, and shops, it’s around 15–20 minutes on foot from the hotel.

Edinburgh Castle & The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo: The castle isn’t a Fringe venue, but it’s a must-see and the setting for the world-famous Military Tattoo during August. It’s about a 15-minute walk from the hotel.
Edinburgh Visitor Levy - Important Information
From 1 October 2025, all bookings for stays from 24 July 2026 will be subject to a 5% visitor levy, introduced by the City of Edinburgh.
- The tax is calculated at 5% of the accommodation cost (excluding any paid product upsells).
- It applies to all guests staying at the hotel, for the first 5 nights of their stay only.
- Payment is required at check-in and is not included in your room rate.
- Some guests may be eligible to reclaim the tax separately through the local council.
